During his various roles in different companies he has acquired in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in digital transformation projects in manufacturing and process industry. Since January 2010 he is responsible for the ecosystem in the German speaking region (D-A-CH) as well as Central and Eastern Europe in the GE Digital division at General Electric (GE).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a long-standing, active member of the German platform Industry 4.0, he is author and co-author of numerous publications, e.g. the Reference Architecture Model Industry 4.0 (RAMI 4.0). As Editor of two Industry 4.0 technical books, Thomas Schulz, along with 50 other top-class authors, summarizes recognized specialist knowledge and practical applications in order to make the knowledge base of digitization in industry easier for the reader.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Session: Analytics in Smart Manufacturing and Increasing performance and productivity with AI<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Artificial Intelligence (AI) for industry 4.0-based applications<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to the availability of generated data, technical expertise, domain knowledge and system know-how are of crucial importance for the successful use of AI algorithms.
